Dynamic design and manufacture stick blenders with fixed or detachable shafts, so the choice is yours. Detachable shafts are great for flexibility, as you can quickly swap and disassemble shafts when needed. Other shaft types are sold separately, such as ricers, crushers and whisks. The DMX 160/MX050 has a detachable shaft.

How much does Dynamix DM160 stick blender weigh?

With the shaft, the DM160 weighs around 900g. That's about the same as a one litre bottle of water, making it relatively lightweight - most people will find this a comfortable and ergonomic blender to use.
